Genius Collective is the brainchild of Jared Silvermintz.
While officially opening for business in 2004, the company has roots
as far back as 1996. At the time, Silvermintz co-developed the pioneering
research website, Genius Papers. With the dawn of the internet, and the
groundbreaking nature of the site, it became a media sensation
overnight.
Shortly thereafter, Silvermintz studied at NYU's Tisch School of the
Arts before being detoured in 1999 to become a co-founder of the now
defunct, yet legendary, college media firm, Kodab New Media.
After two years as VP of Production at Kodab, Silvermintz returned to
school and continued studying film and television, while simultaneously
cutting his teeth as a broadcast, print, web, and layout designer.
Following graduation, Silvermintz worked as a supervising producer,
broadcast designer, and creative director in New York City before
finally settling the Genius Collective in East Tennessee.
